The Link Between Japanese Samurai and Real Indigo

All of the denim we carry is dyed with natural indigo. The kind of stuff you'll see in this video.

Here's some quick science on how all this works.

Cotton is hand-dipped in indigo vats and hung to dry. This process is repeated over several days, or even several weeks. This creates "layers" of indigo. And here's where things get interesting. Natural indigo and cotton don't stick together. This is why raw denim with natural indigo fades so well and looks better over time.

Mass produced denim is the complete opposite of this. Chemical dyes look worse over time and is bad for the environment.

Come by and we'll get you set up in the perfect fit and the best jeans you'll ever own. Jeans crafted with natural indigo that look great, and will only get better as you wear them.
